A community of practice, open to all.
The Sangha is the heart of our work — a community walking the path of awakening together, inside and outside. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here.
We practice together so no one walks alone.
Sangha is a Pali and Sanskrit word for community — the community of practitioners who support one another on the path of awakening. At Boundless Freedom Project, our Sangha includes people who are incarcerated, returning citizens, volunteers, teachers and outside practitioners.
Through meditation, dharma study, compassionate conversation and shared silence, we create a refuge where healing and transformation become possible — together.

Parenting Ourselves
Most of us learned to parent other people before anyone taught us how to parent ourselves. This month is about closing that gap.
Parenting ourselves means giving yourself the same patience, steadiness, and care you'd give a kid who was struggling, especially in the moments you're most tempted to be hard on yourself. It's not indulgence. It's the discipline of staying kind to yourself when it would be easier to pile on.
This theme runs on Mindful Self-Compassion, the framework built by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer, which takes Buddhist compassion practice and turns it into something you can actually use day to day. Our first Virtual Sangha of the month opens the theme with Lorraine Hobbs, who has spent years developing mindful and compassionate parenting work at UCSD's Center for Mindfulness. She'll walk us through a Self-Compassion Break and Soothing Touch practice, a simple way to steady yourself in the middle of a hard moment instead of after it's already passed.
